T Spheres - Brand Spotlight
With their magazine features, celebrity endorsements, and partnerships with world-class spas and hotels, T Spheres are definitely making a splash in the health and wellness world. These spherical tools combine massage and aromatherapy to relieve daily stress, soothe muscle pain, and much more. Newly available at Inspirations Dancewear, we wanted to go further in-depth as to what T Spheres do, how to use them, and how to care for them.
What Do T Spheres Do?
Built to travel, these massage balls are perfect for dancers on the go. These tools are engineered to mimic human touch, and come in two separate sizes: small (45mm - about the size of a golf ball,) and large (58mm - about the size of a tennis ball). The smaller size is great for massaging smaller muscle groups like feet or hands, and the larger is perfect for massaging larger muscle groups like the legs or back. Using massage therapy to open up the muscles helps to increase range of motion and reduce spasms and cramping. Inspirations offers 5 different aromatherapy options:

How Do I Use T Spheres?
T Spheres can be rolled across the muscles or under the feet, or placed behind you while sitting or lying down. They can also be heated and cooled, depending on the desired results.
Heating Your T Spheres
Heating the T Spheres is great for deep relaxation of the muscles, and feels very soothing against the skin. To heat T Spheres: place in boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Carefully remove, pat dry, test heat, then use as normal.
Cooling Your T Spheres
A cool T Sphere is awesome to use on sore muscles, it helps reduce inflammation which means less pain and faster recovery. To cool your massage spheres, simply place them in a ziploc bag (to keep the aromatherapy scents fresh,) and keep them in the freezer for 30 minutes or more. If you’re in a time crunch, they can also be put into a bowl of ice for approximately 15 minutes.
Video Demonstrations
The T Sphere website has a huge amount of information on different techniques for using the massage tools. Here we’ve included links to all of the dancer-specific ways you can help out your body with T Spheres.

How Do I Care for T Spheres?
Lifespan
The aromatherapy oils infused into the T Spheres are designed to slowly release over 3 months. After that, it is recommended that you refresh your T Spheres for a total lifespan of 1-3 years, depending on use. Once they have reached the end of their use, they can be recycled.
Cleaning and Refreshing
To clean your T Spheres, rinse them in either cool or warm water, then let them air dry or pat them dry with a cloth. For a deep clean, mix 1 part hydrogen peroxide to 3 parts water, let soak for 5-10 minutes, and pat dry. Avoid using soap, antibacterial gels, or rubbing alcohol on your T Spheres as this will break down the rubber compound. To refresh, spray the matching T Spheres refreshing spritz into the bag and place spheres inside to absorb scent.
